Installation








L110 HYBRID TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: OIL PUMP ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL OIL WITH MOTOR PUMP ASSEMBLY
(a) Install a new gasket to the oil with motor pump assembly.





(b) Using SST, install the oil with motor pump assembly with the 4 bolts.
SST: 09961-01270
without SST - Torque: 32 Nm (321 kgf-cm, 24ft-lbf)
with SST - Torque: 15 Nm (152 kgf-cm, 11ft-lbf)
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.09 in.).
- If using a torque wrench with a length other than 180 mm (7.09 in.) the specified torque value must be recalculated.

(c) Connect the transmission breather hose.
2. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS





(a) Install the wire harness bracket with the bolt.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71in-lbf)





(b) Install the 9 wire harness clamps and 2 connectors to the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
3. CONNECT WATER PIPE AND HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the 3 bolts to the water pipe and hose sub-assembly in the order shown in the illustration.
Torque: 22 Nm (224 kgf-cm, 16ft-lbf)
4. INSTALL OIL COOLER TUBE





(a) Position the oil cooler tube and 4 new gaskets by temporarily tightening the 2 union bolts and the bolt.





(b) Using SST, fully tighten the union bolt.
SST: 09961-00950
without SST - Torque: 28 Nm (280 kgf-cm, 20ft-lbf)
with SST - Torque: 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9ft-lbf)
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.09 in.).
- If using a torque wrench with a length other than 180 mm (7.09 in.) the specified torque value must be recalculated.





(c) Using ball joint lock nut wrench 19 mm, fully tighten the union bolt.
without ball joint lock nut wrench 19 mm - Torque: 28 Nm (280 kgf-cm, 20ft-lbf)
with ball joint lock nut wrench 19 mm - Torque: 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9ft-lbf)
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.09 in.).
- If using a torque wrench with a length other than 180 mm (7.09 in.) the specified torque value must be recalculated.





(d) Fully tighten the bolt to install the oil cooler tube.
Torque: 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9ft-lbf)
5. INSTALL NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
6. CONNECT OIL PUMP MOTOR CONTROLLER CONNECTOR
(a) Insert the claw of a new wire harness protector into the hole in the side member and turn the claw until it touches the side member.




NOTICE:
Do not twist the electric oil pump harness more than 360° when installing it.

(b) Separate the claw of the wire harness protector from the side member.
NOTICE:
Do not apply excessive force to the wire harness protector.

(c) Turn the wire harness protector to align the claw and the clamp installation hole, and install the protector to the vehicle.





(d) Connect the power line connector and securely lock the lock lever as shown in the illustration.
- Be sure to securely lock the claw of the connector.
- Push the connector all the way in and lock the lock lever.
HINT: When the connector is pushed all the way in, the lock lever will move slightly to the lock position.





(e) Push the lock into the lock lever to securely lock the lock lever of the power line connector.





(f) Connect the signal line connector to the oil pump motor controller.





(g) Connect the connector and securely lock the lock lever as shown in the illustration.
- Be sure to securely lock the claw of the connector.
- Push the connector all the way in and lock the lock lever.
HINT: When the connector is pushed all the way in, the lock lever will move slightly to the lock position.

(h) Install the clamp to the bracket.





(i) Push the lock into the lock lever to securely lock the lock lever of the connector.
7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE Installation
8. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE Installation
9. CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE Installation
10. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation
11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

12. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
13. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Installation
14. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation
15. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Installation
16. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
17. ADD TRANSMISSION FLUID
(a) Add transmission fluid Procedures.
18. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER
19. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
20. B1 AIR BLEEDING
(a) Inspect the Control the Shift Position L110 Hybrid Transmission System.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the power switch on (READY) and turn the Techstream on.
NOTICE:
- Make sure that the shift lever is in P and the air conditioning is off before turning the power switch on (READY) and turning the Techstream on.
- Make sure that no DTCs are output.
- Make sure that the transmission fluid temperature is between 0°C to 79°C (32°F to 175°F).

(d) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Utility / B1 Air Bleeding.
NOTICE:
- Do not move the shift lever from P.
- Do not turn on the air conditioning while bleeding the air from the B1 chamber.
HINT: It takes about 10 minutes to bleed the air from the B1 chamber.

(e) Inspect the Control the Shift Position L110 Hybrid Transmission System.
