Engine Immobilizer System








ENGINE IMMOBILIZER: ENGINE IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM: TERMINALS OF ECU

TERMINALS OF ECU

1. CHECK ENGINE SWITCH





(a) Disconnect the J31 switch connector.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness.





- If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(c) Reconnect the J31 switch connector.
(d) Measure the resistance and voltage at the connector.





HINT:
*: Remove the key battery before performing this inspection.
- If the result is not as specified, the switch may have a malfunction.

(e) Inspect using an oscilloscope.

2. CHECK CERTIFICATION ECU





(a) Disconnect the P33 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage at the wire harness side connector.





- If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(c) Reconnect the P33 ECU connector.
(d) Measure the resistance and voltage of the connector.

*: Remove the key battery before performing this inspection.
- If the result is not as specified, the ECU may have a malfunction.

(e) Inspect using an oscilloscope.

3. CHECK ID CODE BOX





(a) Disconnect the J69 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage at the wire harness side connector.





- If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(c) Reconnect the J69 ECU connector.
(d) Measure the voltage of the connector.





- If the result is not as specified, the ECU may have a malfunction.

(e) Inspect using an oscilloscope.

4. CHECK POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU





(a) Disconnect the J55 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage at the wire harness side connector.





- If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

5. CHECK STEERING CONTROL ECU





(a) Disconnect the J29 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage at the wire harness side connector.





- If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

6. CHECK ECM





(a) Measure the resistance and voltage of the connector.





- If the result is not as specified, the ECM may have a malfunction.

(b) Inspect using an oscilloscope.

7. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU RH (COWL SIDE J/B RH)





(a) Disconnect the RD and RM junction block connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage at the wire harness side connectors.





- If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(c) Reconnect the RD and RM junction block connectors.
(d) Measure the voltage of the connector.





- If the result is not as specified, the main body ECU RH (cowl side J/B RH) may have a malfunction.
