Disassembly








EXTERIOR: FRONT BUMPER: DISASSEMBLY

DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH Removal
2. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

3. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Clearance Sonar System) Removal
4. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CLEANER WASHER NOZZLE LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) Removal
5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CLEANER WASHER NOZZLE RH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) Removal
7. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

8. REMOVE NO. 4 ENGINE ROOM WIRE (w/ Clearance Sonar System)





(a) Disengage the 7 clamps and remove the No. 4 engine room wire.
9. REMOVE HEADLIGHT HOSE (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)





(a) Disengage the 5 claws and remove the headlight hose.
10. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR





(a) Disengage the 13 claws and remove the radiator grille protector.
11. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM (w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)
HINT:
When removing the radiator grille emblem, heat the vehicle body and radiator grille emblem using a heat light.

Heating temperature:





NOTE:
Do not heat the vehicle body and radiator grill emblem excessively.

(a) Put protective tape around the radiator grille emblem.
(b) Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and radiator grille emblem.
(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.
(d) Pull the piano wire and cut through the double-sided tape that holds the moulding to the vehicle body.
NOTICE:
- If reusing the radiator grille emblem, take care not to damage the radiator grille emblem.
- Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.





(e) Remove the radiator grille emblem.
12. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)





(a) Remove the 2 spring nuts.
(b) Disengage the claw and remove the radiator grille emblem.
13. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY





(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.





(b) Remove the 4 nuts.





(c) Disengage the 6 claws.





(d) Disengage the 8 claws and remove the radiator grille moulding.
14. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE





(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.





(b) Disengage the 6 claws and remove the radiator grille.
15. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE





(a) Disengage the 16 claws and remove the lower radiator grille.
16. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER GUARD COVER LH





(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the front bumper guard cover LH.
17. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER GUARD COVER RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

18. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER





(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front bumper cover.
19. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RETAINER





(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the 2 front fender liner retainers.
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

20. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH





(a) Remove the screw.
(b) Disengage the claw and remove the front bumper side retainer LH.
21. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

22. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER





(a) Remove the front bumper energy absorber.
23. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT





(a) Disengage the 2 clips and disconnect the radiator support opening cover.
(b) Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler (ambient temperature sensor) thermistor.





(c) Remove the 6 bolts and front bumper reinforcement.
