ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: REAR DOOR: REMOVAL
REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal
3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Removal.
4. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH
(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the bezel plug.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
5. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 clips.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(b) Disconnect the connector and remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly.
6. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) w/o Rear Door Sunshade:
(1) Remove the 3 screws.
(2) Using a clip remover, detach the 13 clips.
(3) Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.
(4) Disconnect the connectors and remove the trim board.
(b) w/ Rear Door Sunshade:
(1) Remove the 3 screws.
(2) Using a clip remover, detach the 14 clips.
(3) Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.
(4) Disconnect the connectors and remove the trim board.
7. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Detach the claw, disconnect the connector and then remove the light.
8. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY
(a) Detach the claw and remove the courtesy light from the door trim panel.
(b) Disconnect the connector.
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT MEMORY SWITCH
(a) Detach the 4 claws, disconnect the connector and then remove the seat memory switch.
10. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY Removal
11. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM COVER LH
(a) Remove the screw.
(b) Using a clip remover, detach the 5 clips and remove the trim cover.
12. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH
(a) Detach the 2 clips.
(b) Detach the claws and door frame garnish.
13. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH
(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear No. 3 door weatherstrip LH.
14. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH
(a) Detach the 4 claws and remove the frame garnish.
15. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH
(a) Detach the clip and remove the rear No. 2 door weatherstrip LH.
16. REMOVE REAR CURTAIN SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)
(a) Remove the 10 screws.
(b) Detach the 4 clips, disconnect the connector and then remove the curtain.
17. REMOVE NO. 1 AUTO CURTAIN RAIL BRACKET LH (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)
(a) Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove the curtain rail bracket.
18. REMOVE REAR SIDE TRIM BOARD COVER LH (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)
(a) Remove the 2 screws and side trim board cover.
19. REMOVE REAR INNER DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH
(a) Remove the weatherstrip inner by pulling it upward in the direction indicated by the arrow.
20. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY Removal
21. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY Removal
22. REMOVE REAR DOOR ECU LH
(a) Remove the 2 screws and ECU.
(b) Disconnect the 3 connectors.
23. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH
(a) Remove the service hole cover.
24. REMOVE REAR LOWER DOOR DIVISION BAR BRACKET LH
(a) Remove the 3 nuts and division bar bracket.
25. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the 2 nuts.
(b) Remove the division bar together with the glass run.
26. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN LH
(a) Remove the rear door glass run from the division bar assembly.
27. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS LH
(a) Remove the rear door quarter window glass and rear door quarter window weatherstrip as a unit as shown in the illustration.
28. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the hole plug.
(b) Temporarily install the power window regulator switch.
(c) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
(d) Move the door glass until the bolts appear in the service holes.
(e) Disconnect the cable from the negative battery (-) terminal.
NOTICE:

- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization
(f) Remove the power window regulator master switch.
(g) Remove the 2 bolts.
NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the bolts as the glass may fall and become damaged.
(h) Remove the door glass.
HINT: Remove the glass upward.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the glass.
29. REMOVE REAR UPPER DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH
30. REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING LH
(a) Remove the 2 screws.
(b) Loosen the 5 belt line screws indicated by the arrows in the illustration.
(c) Remove the 3 screws.
(d) Put protective tape around the rear belt moulding.
(e) While making sure not to pull the rear belt moulding away from the vehicle, rotate the rear belt moulding in the direction shown in the illustration and remove it.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the door panel when rotating the belt moulding.
HINT: The clip will break when the rear belt moulding is removed.
(f) Remove the remaining part of the clip from the body.
31. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT WINDOW GUIDE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and rear door window guide sub-assembly front LH.
32. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 4 bolts and regulator.
NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the bolts as the motor may fall and become damaged.
33. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Using a T25 ''TORX'' driver, remove the 3 screws and motor.
NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the screws as the motor may fall and become damaged.
34. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Using a T30 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 screws labeled B and 3 screws labeled A.
NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the screws as the door lock may fall and become damaged.
HINT: Remove the door lock through the service hole.
35. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the claw.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(b) Remove the rear door inside locking cable.
36. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(b) Remove the rear door lock remote control cable.
37. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER LH
(a) Using a T30 ''TORX'' socket, loosen the screw and remove the outside handle cover.
38. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, loosen the screw.
(b) Disconnect the connector.
(c) Remove the handle by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.
39. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
(a) Detach the 3 claws and remove the pad.
40. REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the pad.
41. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Using a T30 ''TORX'' socket, loosen the screw.
(b) Detach the 2 clamps and remove the No. 3 door wire.
(c) Slide the outside handle frame and No. 3 door wire to remove it.
HINT: Remove the outside handle frame through the service hole.
(d) Remove the lock open rod from the outside handle frame.
42. REMOVE NO. 3 BACK DOOR WIRE
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Detach the 2 clips, and remove the door No. 3 wire from the frame.
43. REMOVE DOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR
(a) Remove the screw and door electrical key oscillator.
44. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH
(a) Detach the 19 clips and remove the rear door weatherstrip.
45. REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the cover.
(b) Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and door check.
HINT: Remove the door check through the service hole.
NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the bolt and nuts as the door check may fall and become damaged.
46. REMOVE REAR DOOR WIRE LH
(a) Disconnect the wire clips.
(b) Remove the door wire.
