Front Passenger Side Door Closer does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The front multiplex network door ECU RH receives front door closer RH signals, and activates the front door closer motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION
(a) Check the power door lock control function Power Door Lock Control System.
OK:
Each function of power door lock control system operates normally using master switch.
NG -- Go to POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
2.
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH - FRONT DOOR CLOSER RH)




(a) Disconnect the N2 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the N7 closer connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (FRONT DOOR CLOSER RH)
(a) Remove the front door lock RH Removal.




(b) Set the door closer to the half-latch position.
(c) Apply battery voltage to the lock motor connector and check the closer operation.
OK:






NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (FRONT DOOR CLOSER RH)
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH (OPERATION)
(a) Temporarily replace the front door ECU RH with a new or normally functioning one Components.
(b) Check the door closer operation Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
OK:
Door closer operation is normal.
NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (FRONT DOOR CLOSER RH)
OK -- END (FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH IS DEFECTIVE)
