ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal
3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP





(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.





(b) Remove the 2 screws and assist grip.
5. REMOVE DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL





(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the bezel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

6. REMOVE SWITCH BEZEL





(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the bezel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

7. REMOVE NO. 2 COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY





(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the luggage compartment light.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Disconnect the connector.
8. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SERVICE COVER LH
(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear combination light service cover LH.
9. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SERVICE COVER RH
(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear combination light service cover RH.
10. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER LH





(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips and cover.
11. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER RH





(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips and cover.
12. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM COVER





(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips.
(b) Remove the 10 clips and cover.
13. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK OPENER ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the screw and door lock opener.
14. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 3 bolts and luggage door closer.
15. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LOCK CYLINDER





(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 2 nuts and lock cylinder.
16. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR CLOSER SWITCH





(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 2 screws and door closer switch.
17. REMOVE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear View Monitor)





(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 2 nuts and television camera.
18. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH Removal
19. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH Removal
20. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE
21. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH RETAINER SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the connectors.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts.
(c) Remove the 2 clips and back door garnish.
22. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER OUTER SWITCH





(a) Open the screw caps and remove the 2 screws.





(b) Detach the 2 claws and remove the opener outer switch.
