SLIDING ROOF: SLIDING ROOF HOUSING: REMOVAL
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal
3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
4. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the roof headlining Removal.
5. REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the airbag Removal.
6. REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
7. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOF SIDE AIR DUCT LH (w/ Rear Cooler)
(a) Remove the 3 clips and duct.
8. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOF SIDE AIR DUCT RH (w/ Rear Cooler)
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
9. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH
(a) Detach the 5 claws and remove the side garnish.
10. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
11. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a T25 "TORX" driver, remove the 4 screws and glass.
12. REMOVE FRONT SLIDING ROOF GARNISH
(a) Detach the 4 claws and remove the front garnish.
13. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the 4 sliding roof drain hoses.
(b) Remove the 14 bolts, 8 nuts and housing.
