PRECAUTION

1. PRECAUTION FOR USING BATTERY DURING INSPECTION
(a) While using the battery during inspection, do not bring the positive and negative tester probes too close to each other as a short circuit may occur.
2. PRECAUTION FOR HEADLIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT (for HID Headlight)
(a) When any defects such as deformation, cracks, dents, chipping, etc. is identified on the discharge headlight (especially, on the headlight control ECU), replace it with a new one.
(b) Even if the operation seems to be normal, the fail-safe function may be defective.
(c) Since the bulb of the discharge headlight and halogen bulbs (for headlight or fog light) have pressurized gas inside and can easily be broken if scratched or dropped, special care should be taken. When handling the bulb, hold the plastic or metal part and do not touch the glass part with bare hands.
(d) Never touch the high voltage socket of the discharge headlight with the light control switch in the HEAD position, as this could generate a momentary high voltage of 20000 V and lead to a serious accident.
(e) Never connect a tester to the high voltage socket of the discharge headlight for measurement, as this may result in a serious accident because of high voltage.
(f) When servicing the discharge headlight, do not allow the discharge headlight to come into contact with water. Turn off the light control switch and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and the connector of the headlight control ECU in advance to avoid electric shocks.
(g) When performing an operation related to the discharge headlight, operate it after assembling has been finished and never turn on the lights without a bulb installed.
(h) Do not turn on the discharge headlight using a power source other than the vehicle battery.
