BRAKE CONTROL: YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR: REMOVAL
REMOVAL
NOTICE:
While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is OFF, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal or open/close the doors while the battery is connected.
1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal
3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH Removal
7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH Removal
8. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
9. REMOVE NO. 3 BOX PANEL Removal
10. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE PANEL UPPER Removal
11. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER Removal
12. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
13. REMOVE CONSOLE COVER LOWER Removal
14. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Removal
15. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT
(a) Detach the connector clamp.
(b) Remove the 2 clips and No. 1 duct.
16. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and sensor.
(b) Disconnect the sensor connector.
NOTICE:
- Make sure the yaw rate sensor's identification number is 1.
- Do not drop the yaw rate sensor. If it is dropped, do not use it.
