DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU receives pre-collision brake on/off signal from pre-collision brake cancel switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT PRE-COLLISION BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH

(a) Remove the pre-collision brake cancel switch Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

(c) Reinstall the pre-collision brake cancel switch Installation.

NG -- REPLACE PRE-COLLISION BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-CRASH BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH - SKID CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the pre-collision brake cancel switch connector.

(b) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(d) Reconnect the skid control ECU connector.

(e) Reconnect the pre-collision brake cancel switch connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (PRE-CRASH BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH - SKID CONTROL ECU)
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-COLLISION BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the pre-collision brake cancel switch connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(c) Reconnect the pre-collision brake cancel switch connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (PRE-COLLISION BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH - BODY GROUND)

OK -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU Removal
