DESCRIPTION

The display and navigation module display and the stereo component amplifier assembly are connected by the MOST communication line.

When a MOST communication error occurs between the display and navigation module display and the stereo component amplifier assembly, these DTCs will be stored.

* *1: Even if no fault is present, this DTC may be stored depending on the battery condition or engine start voltage.
* The display and navigation module display is the master unit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)

(a) Check for optional components.

(1) Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

Result:





HINT
* Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect MOST communication.
* This DTC may be stored when a MOST communication error occurs due to electrical noise.
B -- CHECK DTC
A -- Continue to next step.

2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)

(a) Remove optional components (including associated wiring).

NOTICE:
Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE)

OK -- END

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE)

(a) Disconnect the U57 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





*1: w/ Rear Header Speaker

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MOST COMMUNICATION LINE)

(a) Disconnect the K97 display and navigation module display connector.

(b) Disconnect the U59 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

(c) Disconnect the K56 radio receiver assembly connector.

(d) Measure the resistance between the display and navigation module display and the stereo component amplifier assembly according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(e) Measure the resistance between the radio receiver assembly and the stereo component amplifier assembly according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the stereo component amplifier assembly Service and Repair.

(b) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY Removal

OK -- END
