ENGINE IMMOBILIZER: ENGINE IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM: TERMINALS OF ECU
1. CHECK ENGINE SWITCH
(a) Disconnect the K29 switch connector.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness.
* If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
(c) Reconnect the K29 switch connector.
(d) Measure the resistance and voltage of the connector.

*: Remove the key's battery before performing this inspection.
* If the result is not as specified, the switch may have a malfunction.
(e) Inspect using an oscilloscope.

2. CHECK CERTIFICATION ECU
(a) Disconnect the U28 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.
* If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
(c) Reconnect the U28 ECU connector.
(d) Measure the resistance and voltage of the connector.

*: Remove the key's battery before performing this inspection.
* If the result is not as specified, the ECU may have a malfunction.
(e) Inspect using an oscilloscope.

3. CHECK IMMOBILIZER CODE ECU
(a) Disconnect the K58 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.
* If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
(c) Reconnect the K58 ECU connector.
(d) Measure the voltage of the connector.
* If the result is not as specified, the ECU may have a malfunction.
(e) Inspect using an oscilloscope.

4. CHECK POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU
(a) Disconnect the K73 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.
* If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
5. CHECK STEERING CONTROL ECU
(a) Disconnect the K28 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.
* If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
6. CHECK ECM (2GR-FSE)
(a) Measure the resistance and voltage of the connector.
* If the result is not as specified, the ECM may have a malfunction.
(b) Inspect using an oscilloscope.

7. CHECK ECM (1UR-FSE)
(a) Measure the voltage and resistance of the connector.
* If the result is not as specified, the ECM may have a malfunction.
(b) Inspect using an oscilloscope.

(2) Waveform 2 (Reference)
8. CHECK COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)
(a) Disconnect the DD and DM junction block connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connectors.
* If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
(c) Reconnect the DD and DM junction block connectors.
(d) Measure the voltage of the connector.
* If the result is not as specified, the junction block (ECU) may have a malfunction.
