Illumination Circuit
NAVIGATION: NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for HDD): Illumination Circuit
- Illumination Circuit
DESCRIPTION
Power is supplied to the steering pad switch assembly and display and navigation module display illumination when the light control switch is in the tail or head position.
The display and navigation module display is connected to the combination meter assembly. The panel switch illumination for the display and navigation module display is controlled by the rheostat switch.
HINT
If a malfunction occurs in the rheostat switch circuit, the rheostat switch controlled illumination for the display and navigation module display panel switches and other panel switches may not function correctly.
WIRING DIAGRAM
NOTICE:
* Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
* The vehicle is equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). Before servicing (including removal or installation of parts), be sure to read Precaution for Supplemental Restraint System Service Precautions.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK ILLUMINATION
(a) Check if the illumination for the display and navigation module display, steering pad switch assembly, hazard switch, glove box or others (engine switch, etc.) comes on when the light control switch is turned to the tail or head position.
Result:
HINT
If a malfunction occurs in the rheostat switch circuit, the rheostat switch controlled illumination for the display and navigation module display panel switches and other panel switches may not function correctly.
