DESCRIPTION

When the door control transmitter is in the vehicle or the door courtesy light ON signal is output to the ECU, performing the door lock operation with the lock switch on the outer handle will not lock the door.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START

(a) Check that each function of the entry door lock operates normally by using the lock switch.

OK:

Entry door lock is functioning normally function.

NG -- GO TO SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the door courtesy light switch.

Multiplex Network Body ECU:





OK:

ON (driver side door is unlocked) appears on screen.

NG -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH

OK -- REPLACE COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

3. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Remove the courtesy light switch.

(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU - FRONT COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)





(a) Disconnect the U1 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the V7 switch connector.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)
