DESCRIPTION

The rear multiplex network door ECU RH receives lock/unlock switch signals and activates the door lock motor according to signals.

WIRING DIAGRAM

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (REAR DOOR LOCK MOTOR)

(a) Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the door lock motor operates.

Rear Multiplex Network Door ECU RH:

OK:

Door locks/unlocks.

NG -- INSPECT FUSE (RR DOOR RH)

OK -- REPLACE REAR MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH

2. INSPECT FUSE (RR DOOR RH)

(a) Remove the RR DOOR RH fuse from the cowl side junction block RH.

(b) Measure the resistance of the fuse.

Standard resistance:

Below 1 Ohms

NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (REAR DOOR ECU RH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the O3 ECU connector.

(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check operation of the door lock motor.

OK:

NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH)

(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the door lock position switch.

Rear Multiplex Network Door ECU RH:

OK:

ON (rear RH side door is unlocked) appears on screen.

NG -- INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH)

OK -- REPLACE REAR MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH

6. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH)

(a) Measure the resistance of the switch.

Standard resistance:

NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (REAR DOOR ECU RH- REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH)

(a) Disconnect the O2 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the O5 door lock connector.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE REAR MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH
