SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
When the active headrest is deployed, replace the front seat headrest assembly, No. 2 seat adjuster control cable assembly and active headrest lower unit.

(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat headrest support cover.

(b) Remove the pin and front seat headrest assembly.

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the knob.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the knob.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 3 rubber bands of the front seatback board from the front seat frame.

(b) Disconnect the 2 connectors from the No. 2 interior illumination light assembly.

(c) Remove the 7 screws.

(d) Disengage the claw and remove the front seat cushion shield assembly in the order indicated in the illustration.

(e) Disconnect the connector from the front power seat lumbar switch.

6. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Disengage the claw and disconnect the cushion shield inner from the cushion shield.

7. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH

(a) Remove the 2 screws and front power seat lumbar switch.

8. REMOVE SEAT TRACK SPACER LOWER OUTER

(a) Remove the 2 screws and spacer.

9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the claw.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(c) Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove the cushion shield.

10. REMOVE SEAT TRACK SPACER LOWER INNER

(a) Remove the 2 screws and spacer from the cushion shield inner.

11. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/o Seat Position Memory System)

(a) Remove the 3 screws.

(b) Disconnect the connector and remove the switch.

12. REMOVE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Position Memory System)

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(b) Remove the 3 screws and remove the switch.

13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Disconnect the connectors and detach the clamps.

(b) Disconnect the hook of the front seat cushion cover from the front seat frame.

(c) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

(d) Disengage the hooks and remove the front seat cushion cover with pad.

14. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Remove the 3 hog rings.

(b) Remove the hog rings and separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 34 tack pins and front seat cushion heater assembly.

16. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Open the lower part of the seatback board. Then remove the 2 screws.

(b) Pull the seatback board in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to detach the 2 claws. Then, remove the seatback board.

17. REMOVE NO. 2 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the 2 No. 2 interior illumination light assembly.

18. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear seat headrest support.

19. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Remove the 4 screws and front seatback cover (inner and outer).

20. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Remove the 5 hog rings.

(b) Disengage the 7 hooks.

(c) Remove the 3 hog rings.

(d) Disconnect the connector.

(e) Remove the nut and disconnect the seatback cover bracket.

(f) Disengage the 2 hooks and remove the front seatback cover with pad from the seat frame.

21. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

(b) Remove the 9 hog rings and separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad.

22. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 7 tack pins and the front seatback heater assembly.

23. REMOVE NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
When the active headrest is deployed, replace the front seat headrest assembly, No. 2 seat adjuster control cable assembly and active headrest lower unit.

(a) Disengage the 6 claws and remove the seatback plate.

(b) Disconnect the 2 cable clamps.

(d) Disengage he clamp.

(e) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 2 seat adjuster control cable with the front seatback support cover as shown in the illustration.

(f) Remove the No. 2 seat adjuster control cable from the front seatback support cover as shown in the illustration.

(g) Disengage the 3 clamps and remove the connector clamp.

24. REMOVE ACTIVE HEADREST LOWER UNIT

CAUTION:
When the active headrest is deployed, replace the front seat headrest assembly, No. 2 seat adjuster control cable assembly and active headrest lower unit.

(a) Remove the 2 nuts and active headrest lower unit.

25. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH LOWER

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the inside cover.

26. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH LOWER

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the inside cover.

27. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH UPPER

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the inside cover.

28. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH UPPER

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the inside cover.

29. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the hook and remove the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

30. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the hook and remove the front seat lower cushion shield RH.

31. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 8 hooks and remove the front seatback spring.

(b) Disconnect the connector.

(c) Remove the 2 screws.

(d) Disengage the guide and remove the lumbar support adjuster assembly.

32. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Disconnect the connector and detach the 3 clamps.

(b) Using a T30 "TORX" socket, remove the 6 "TORX" bolts and remove the seatback climate control cover and blower.

33. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Disengage the 2 clamps (A) as shown in the illustration. (1)

(b) Disengage the 2 clamps (B) as shown in the illustration. (2)

(c) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the seat cushion climate control duct.

34. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Remove the screw.

(c) Pull up the bracket of the seat cushion climate control blower as shown in the illustration. (1)

(d) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the seat cushion climate control blower. (2)

35. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Side) Removal

36. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Disconnect each connector and clamp and remove the seat heater control sub-assembly.

37. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Remove the 2 nuts.

(b) Disconnect the ECU connector and remove the ECU.

38. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE

(a) Disconnect each connector and clamp and remove the front seat wire.
