SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

HINT
Use the same procedure for the LH and RH side.

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

(a) Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(b) Connect the connectors under the seat.

(c) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

(d) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the foremost position.

(e) Tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.





Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

HINT
Tighten the 2 bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

(f) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

(g) Tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.





Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

HINT
Tighten the 2 bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT TRACK REAR INNER COVER

(a) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the foremost position.

(b) Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat track rear inner cover.





3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT TRACK REAR OUTER COVER

(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat track rear outer cover.





4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

(b) Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat track bracket covers.





5. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

(a) Move the seat using the power seat switch knob so that the seat belt anchor bolt is revealed.

(b) Connect the front seat outer belt assembly with the bolt.





Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

6. INSTALL SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP

(a) Engage the 6 guides to install the seat belt anchor cover cap as shown in the illustration.





7. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

(a) Inspect the power seat operation.

(b) w/ Seat Heater System:

Check the seat heater operation.

(1) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(2) Turn the seat heater switch on.

(3) Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.

8. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

Inspect the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
