WIRING DIAGRAM
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (INDICAT. ECD ON)
(a) Cover the automatic light control sensor with a cloth to prevent it from sensing.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Engine switch on (IG).
(d) Turn the tester ON.
(e) Enter following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
(f) Check the operation by referring to the table below.
Combination Meter:
OK:
Cluster glass becomes tinted when the active test is ON.
NG -- INSPECT COMBINATION METER
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (ECD SUNLIGHT SENSOR)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the tester ON.
(d) Enter following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
(e) Check the values by referring to the table below.
Combination Meter:
HINT
*: The value changes according to the intensity of the light.
OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER
NG -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)
(a) Disconnect the K31 connector.
(b) Disconnect the V34 automatic light control sensor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT COMBINATION METER
(a) Connect the K31 connector to the combination meter.
(b) Disconnect the V34 automatic light control sensor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:
(d) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER
OK -- REPLACE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR
5. INSPECT COMBINATION METER
(a) Disconnect the connectors labeled A, B and C in the illustration.
(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector on the combination meter.
Standard voltage:
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER
OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER GLASS
