MAINTENANCE: BODY: GENERAL MAINTENANCE

1. TIGHTEN BOLTS AND NUTS ON CHASSIS AND BODY





(a) Check the front seat mounting bolts.

Torque : 36.8 Nm (375 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)





(b) Tighten the front suspension lower crossmember-to-body mounting nuts.

Torque : 167 Nm (1,700 kgf-cm, 123 ft-lbf for A)

Torque : 204 Nm (2,080 kgf-cm, 150 ft-lbf for B)

Torque : 50 Nm (510 kgf-cm, 37 ft-lbf for C)

Torque : 49 Nm (500 kgf-cm, 36 ft-lbf for D)





(c) Tighten the front suspension lower crossmember-to-body mounting nuts.

Torque : 167 Nm (1,700 kgf-cm, 123 ft-lbf for A)

Torque : 165 Nm (1,683 kgf-cm, 121 ft-lbf for B)

Torque : 50 Nm (550 kgf-cm, 37 ft-lbf for C)





(d) Tighten the rear suspension member-to-body mounting bolts.

Torque : 127 Nm (1300 kgf-cm, 94 ft-lbf)

2. INSPECT TIRES AND INFLATION PRESSURE Component Tests and General Diagnostics

3. INSPECT LIGHTS, HORNS, WIPERS AND WASHERS

4. BODY INSPECTION

(a) Check the body exterior for dents, scratches and rust.

(b) Check the underbody for rust and damage.

5. ROAD TEST

(a) Check the engine and chassis for abnormal noises.

(b) Check that the brakes work properly and do not drag.

(c) Set the parking brakes shoes and drums.

6. REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING FILTER

(a) Remove the air conditioning filter Disassembly.

(b) Visually inspect the surface of the air conditioning filter.

(c) If the air conditioning filter is contaminated with foreign matter, replace it.

7. INSPECT REFRIGERANT AMOUNT FOR AIR

(a) Check the sight glass on the liquid tube Refrigerant.

8. CORROSION INSPECTION

9. FINAL INSPECTION

(a) Check the operation of these vehicle body parts.

(1) Hood

* Auxiliary catch operates properly.

* Hood locks securely when closed.

(2) Front and rear doors

* Door locks operate properly.

* Doors close properly.

(3) Luggage compartment door

* Door lock operates properly.

(4) Seats

* Seat adjusts easily and locks securely in any position.

* Front seatback locks securely in any position.

(5) Be sure that the vehicle is clean before returning it to the customer. In particular, pay attention to the following:

* Steering wheel

* Shift lever knob

* All switch knobs

* Seats
