DESCRIPTION
A hybrid system indicator is adopted for this vehicle. In this circuit, the meter ECU receives the hybrid system indicator level signal from the power management control ECU via the CAN communication line (CAN No. 1 bus). The meter ECU controls the operation of the hybrid system indicator according to the hybrid system indicator level signal received from the power management control ECU via the CAN communication line (CAN No. 1 bus).

PROCEDURE
1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
(a) Check for the DTC Diagnosis System.
Result:
B -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM How to Proceed With Troubleshooting
A -- Continue to next step.
2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (HV SYSTEM INDICATOR)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
(e) Check the indicator light operation according to the values in the table below.
Combination Meter
OK:
Hybrid system indicator indication is normal.
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (HYBRID SYSTEM INDICATOR)
(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
(e) Check the indicator light operation according to the values in the table below.

OK:
Hybrid system indicator value displayed on the Techstream is almost the same as hybrid system indicator indication.
NG -- GO TO HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM (for 2GR-FXE) How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
(a) Replace the combination meter assembly with a new or a known good one Removal.
OK:
The operation of the hybrid system indicator returns to normal.
NG -- REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU Removal
