DESCRIPTION
The illuminated entry system controls the power switch illumination.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Access / Active Test.
(e) Check that the illumination operates.
Smart Access
OK:
Power switch illumination comes on.
NG -- INSPECT POWER SWITCH
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. INSPECT POWER SWITCH
(a) Remove the power switch Components.
(b) Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 11 (SWIL) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 5 (GND).
(c) Check that the power switch illumination comes on.
OK:
Power switch illumination comes on.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SWITCH - CERTIFICATION ECU AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the F50 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
(b) Disconnect the F2 power switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)
