Applicability
Introduction
Some 2010 model year HS 250h vehicles may exhibit a condition where a creak type noise is noticeable from the dash area near the navigation multi display while driving. This condition is caused by the mounting clips contacting the mounting surface behind the display. Follow the procedure in this TSIB to install felt on the mounting clips of the navigation multi display to correct this condition.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY
^ This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
^ Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this bulletin.
Repair Section
1. Remove the Multi-Display using the Multi-Display removal procedure.
^ Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS) applicable model year HS 250h Repair Manual:
HS 250h:
Audio/Visual/Telematics - Navigation/Multi Info Display - "Navigation/Multi Info Display: Multi-Display: Removal"
2. Remove the 1 mm thick felt sheet from the Noise Kit.
3. Cut the felt sheet into two pieces with the following dimensions:
Length: 30 mm (1.18 in.)
Width: 10 mm (0.39 in.)
Thickness: 1 mm (0.04 in.)
4. Apply the felt to the tabs on the back of the Display unit.
5. Reinstall the Multi-Display per the installation instructions.

6. Test drive the vehicle to confirm that the noise has been eliminated after reassembly.
