AXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL: REAR AXLE HUB: INSTALLATION

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
1. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY

(a) Clean the installation surfaces of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly and parking brake assembly.

(b) Install the rear axle hub and bearing assembly to the rear axle carrier sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 90 Nm (918 kgf-cm, 66 ft-lbf)

2. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS Rear Axle Hub

3. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB RUNOUT Rear Axle Hub

4. INSTALL REAR DISC Installation

5. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the rear disc brake caliper assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 78 Nm (799 kgf-cm, 58 ft-lbf)

(b) Install the rear flexible hose to the No. 2 flexible hose bracket with the bolt.

Torque : 19 Nm (192 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)

6. INSTALL REAR SPEED SENSOR WIRE Installation

7. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION ARM COVER Installation

8. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE

Adjustments

9. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING HOLE PLUG Installation

10. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

11. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
