B1454/54 - Passenger Side Air Outlet Damper COOL Control Servo Motor Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The air mix damper servo (for passenger side COOL) sends pulse signals to inform the air conditioning amplifier of the damper position. The air conditioning amplifier activates the motor (normal, reverse) based on the signals to move the air mix damper (for passenger side COOL) to any position. As a result, the amount of air that has passed through the evaporator and is passing through the heater core is adjusted, and the temperature of the air blowing toward the passenger side is controlled.

HINT
Confirm that no mechanical problem is present because this diagnostic code can be output when either a damper link or damper is mechanically locked.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR TARGET PULSE (for Passenger Side COOL))

(a) Use the Data List to check if the servo motor is functioning properly.

OK:

The display is as specified in the normal condition.

NG -- REPLACE AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR (for Passenger Side COOL)

OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER Removal

2. REPLACE AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR (for Passenger Side COOL)

(a) Replace the air mix servo motor Disassembly.

HINT
Since the servo motor cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the servo motor with a normal one.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. RECHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs DTC Check / Clear.

(b) Check for DTCs DTC Check / Clear.

OK:

DTC B1454 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS Disassembly

OK -- END (AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR (for Passenger Side COOL) IS DEFECTIVE)
