AIR CONDITIONING: AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM: B1469/69: Infrared Ray Sensor Circuit
B1469/69 - Infrared Ray Sensor Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The infrared ray sensor, which is installed on the rear roof, detects human body temperature and controls the heater and air conditioner "AUTO" mode in 4 zones. Signals are transmitted to the air conditioning amplifier via the LIN communication line. This DTC is output when the temperature of the physical object is detected as -30°C (-22°F) or less, or 80°C (176°F) or more for 10 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT FUSE (D-IG1-3)
(a) Remove the D-IG1-3 fuse from the driver side junction block.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (IR SENSOR)
(a) Use the Data List to check if the infrared ray sensors are functioning properly.
Air Conditioner
OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INFRARED RAY SENSOR - BODY GROUND AND BATTERY)
OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER Removal
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INFRARED RAY SENSOR - BODY GROUND AND BATTERY)
(a) Disconnect the X13 infrared ray sensor connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE INFRARED RAY SENSOR Removal
