DESCRIPTION

The seat climate control ECU stops output to the seat climate control controller if a short, etc. in the seat heater, wire harness or ECU interior circuit causes overcurrent.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

Result





B -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU RH - REAR SEATBACK COVER RH)
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH - REAR SEATBACK COVER LH)

(a) Disconnect the f14 ECU connector.





(b) Disconnect the f15 seatback cover connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH (OPERATION)

(a) Replace the seat climate control ECU LH with a new or normally operating one, and check if a DTC is output.

OK:

DTC is not output

NG -- REPLACE REAR SEATBACK COVER LH Disassembly

OK -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH Disassembly

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU RH - REAR SEATBACK COVER RH)

(a) Disconnect the f7 ECU connector.





(b) Disconnect the f3 seatback cover connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU RH (OPERATION)

(a) Replace the seat climate control ECU RH with a new or normally operating one, and check if a DTC is output.

OK:

DTC is not output

NG -- REPLACE REAR SEATBACK COVER RH Disassembly

OK -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU RH Disassembly
