B1790
SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM: B1790: Center Airbag Sensor Assembly Communication Circuit Malfunction
B1790 - Center Airbag Sensor Assembly Communication Circuit Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The center airbag sensor communication circuit consists of the occupant classification ECU and the center airbag sensor.
DTC B1790 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the center airbag sensor communication circuit.
HINT
When DTC B1650/32 is detected as a result of troubleshooting for the "AIRBAG SYSTEM", check the DTCs stored in the occupant classification ECU. When DTC B1790 is output, perform troubleshooting for the DTC.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
HINT
* If troubleshooting (wire harness inspection) is difficult to perform, remove the front passenger seat installation bolts to see the undersurface of the seat cushion.
* In the above case, hold the seat so that it does not fall down.
