B2000
PRE-COLLISION: PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM: B2000,B2005: Short to B+ in Seat Belt Motor RH Circuit
B2005 - Short to B+ in Seat Belt Motor LH Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The seat belt control ECU receives collision information from the driving support ECU and skid control ECU via CAN communication, and tightens the seat belt by operating the motor inside the front seat outer belt assembly.
When DTC B2000 is detected, DTCs B2016, B2026, B2027, and B2035 will not be detected.
When DTC B2005 is detected, DTCs B2021, B2031, B2032, and B2035 will not be detected.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
CAUTION:
The pretensioner is built into the front seat outer belt assembly. Be sure to follow the correct inspection procedure, as failure to follow the correct procedure (such as inspection of incorrect connectors) may activate the pretensioner.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU
(a) Disconnect the S45 ECU connector.
(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
for LH
for RH
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU)
OK -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU Removal
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the S4*1 and R2*2 belt connectors.
(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
for LH
for RH
Result
C -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal
B -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH Removal
A -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
