B2415 - Vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The AFS ECU receives signals indicating the front wheel speed from the skid control ECU using CAN communication.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
First perform the communication function inspections in HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING to confirm that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this symptom.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Check for DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B2415 output does not occur.

NG -- CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)

OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

2. CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)

(a) Check for DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC "C0200/31 Front Speed Sensor RH Circuit", "C0205/32 Front Speed Sensor LH Circuit", "C1235/35 Foreign Object is Attached on Top of Front Speed Sensor RH", "C1236/36 Foreign Object is Attached on Top of Front Speed Sensor LH" output does not occur.

NG -- GO TO ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM Electronically Controlled Brake System

OK -- REPLACE AFS ECU Removal
