B2653
SEAT: FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM: B2653: Lifter Sensor Malfunction
B2653 - Lifter Sensor Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
When the front power seat switch (seat ECU) does not receive a sensor signal despite upward or downward movement of the seat by a power seat motor operation, this DTC is output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Check for DTCs
(1) Using the Techstream, check which ECU output the DTC.
Result
B -- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER SEAT MOTOR FUNCTION)
A -- Continue to next step.
2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER SEAT MOTOR FUNCTION)
(a) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check the power seat motor function.
Driver Seat
OK:
Motor operates normally.
NG -- INSPECT FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (POWER SEAT MOTOR)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH - FRONT POWER SEAT POSITION SENSOR LH)
(a) Disconnect the e46 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the e43 sensor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (POSITION CONTROL SENSOR)
(a) Disconnect the e43 sensor connector.
