B2655 - Cushion Length Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

When the front power seat switch (driver seat ECU) does not receive a sensor signal despite forward or backward movement of seat by power seat motor operation, this DTC is output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER SEAT MOTOR FUNCTION)

(a) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check the power seat motor function.

Driver Seat





OK:

Motor operates normally.

NG -- INSPECT FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (POWER SEAT MOTOR)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH - POWER SEAT MOTOR AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the e46 switch connector.





(b) Disconnect the e102 motor connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (POSITION CONTROL SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the e102 motor connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH Disassembly
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (POSITION CONTROL SENSOR)

(a) Reconnect the e102 motor connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH Disassembly
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Front Power Seat Control System.

(b) Recheck the DTC.

OK:

DTC B2655 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH Disassembly

OK -- END (SYSTEM RETURNS TO NORMAL)

6. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (POWER SEAT MOTOR)

(a) Check operation of the power seat motor (cushion motor).





(1) Check if the seat adjuster moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the cushion motor connector terminals.

OK:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH Disassembly
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH - POWER SEAT MOTOR)

(a) Disconnect the e45 and e46 switch connectors.





(b) Disconnect the e102 motor connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH Disassembly
