C13A9/61 - Brake Control System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The electric parking brake ECU receives vehicle wheel speed information from the skid control ECU via CAN communication.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the electric parking brake ECU or electric parking brake actuator is replaced, perform the "RESET MEMORY" and "ACQUIRE TENSION SENSOR ZERO POINT" procedures Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)

(a) Turn the power switch OFF.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the power switch ON (IG) and the Techstream on.

(d) Check for DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

2. CHECK DTC

(a) Turn the power switch OFF.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the power switch ON (IG) and the Techstream on.

(d) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(e) Check for DTC.
