POWER STEERING: POWER STEERING SYSTEM: C1564,C1565: Lost Communication with WDD Signal of DC / DC Converter
DESCRIPTION
Based on the WDD signal (power steering converter condition notification signal) from the power steering converter, the power steering ECU processes and outputs signals. Based on the ASST signal (EPS demand signal) from the power steering ECU, the power steering converter processes and outputs signals. As a fail-safe function, when the system is malfunctioning, power assistance is limited.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER STEERING ECU - POWER STEERING CONVERTER)
(a) Disconnect the A44 power steering ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the n1 power steering converter connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER STEERING CONVERTER POWER SUPPLY)
(a) Disconnect the n1 power steering converter connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. REPLACE POWER STEERING CONVERTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Replace the power steering converter Removal.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK DTC
(a) Check for DTCs Power Steering System.
Result
NOTICE:
If replacing the power steering ECU, initialize the rotation angle sensor value and calibrate the torque sensor zero point Power Steering System.
