C1622 - Open or Short Circuit in Back Camera Signal
DESCRIPTION
When the self-diagnosis of the parking assist ECU determines that the input/output signal communication with the television camera assembly is abnormal, this DTC is output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
- When "System initializing" is displayed on the display and navigation module display after the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point Initialization.
- Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the advanced parking guidance system may be needed Calibration.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.
(b) Check for DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.

2. CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU
(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

NG -- REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the L91 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the S35 camera connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY
(a) Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform.
