C2171/71 - Transmitter ID not Registered

DESCRIPTION

The IDs of each tire pressure warning valve and transmitter are registered in the tire pressure warning ECU.

When the ECU detects that a transmitter ID code is not registered in the ECU, a DTC is output.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
- When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU, read the IDs stored in the old ECU using the Techstream and note them down before removal.
- It is necessary to perform initialization Initialization after registration Registration of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU after the ECU and/or the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter has been replaced.

PROCEDURE

1. CONFIRM REGISTRATION CONDITION (REGISTERED ID CODES)

(a) Turn the power switch off.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the power switch on (IG) and the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tire Pressure Monitor / Data List.

(e) Check the values by referring to the table below.

OK:

The registered transmitter ID codes are displayed on the Techstream screen.

NG -- PERFORM REGISTRATION OF TRANSMITTER ID

OK -- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU Removal

2. PERFORM REGISTRATION OF TRANSMITTER ID

(a) Register the transmitter IDs for all the wheels Registration.
