DESCRIPTION

For a description of the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly, P0731.

HINT
The ST-on state is a state that occurs when the READY indicator in the combination meter blinks after the power switch is pressed with the brake pedal depressed.

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

The hybrid vehicle control ECU monitors the hydraulic control system. If the line pressure circuit is malfunctioning, the hybrid vehicle control ECU will illuminate the MIL and set a DTC.

(c) Disconnect connector A78 from the oil pump motor controller.

(d) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(e) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:

NOTICE:
Turning the power switch on (IG) with the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

(f) Turn the power switch off.

(g) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance (Check for open):

Standard resistance (Check for short):

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

8. CHECK RELAY (OIL PMP)

(a) Remove the OIL PMP relay from the engine room No. 5 relay block.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

NG -- REPLACE RELAY (OIL PMP) Components
OK -- Continue to next step.

9. CHECK OIL WITH MOTOR PUMP ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connectors from the oil pump motor controller.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:

NOTICE:
Turning the power switch on (IG) with the oil pump motor controller connectors disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

(d) Turn the power switch off.

(e) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance (Check for open):

Standard resistance (Check for short):

NG -- REPLACE OIL WITH MOTOR PUMP ASSEMBLY Components
