Removal

EXTERIOR: FRONT BUMPER: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Removal

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

5. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING LH

7. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING RH

HINT
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

8. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH

(a) Remove the 6 screws and front wheel opening extension pad.

9. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH

HINT
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

10. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH

(a) Using a screwdriver, turn the 2 pin hold clips 90° and remove the 2 pin hold clips.

(b) Partially remove the font fender liner.

HINT
It is not necessary to fully remove the front fender liner. Partially remove it so that the bumper assembly can be removed later.

11. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

12. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

(a) Put protective tape around the front bumper.

(b) Remove the 8 screws.

(d) Detach the 6 claws and disconnect the front bumper cover as shown in the illustration.

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

(e) Disconnect the headlight cleaner hose, 2 fog light connectors and No. 4 engine room wire connector and remove the front bumper cover.

13. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

(a) Remove the energy absorber.

14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

(a) Detach the clamp and remove the cooler thermistor.

(b) Remove the height control cleaner from the reinforcement.

(c) Remove the 6 bolts and reinforcement.

(d) Detach the 2 claws and remove the front bumper reinforcement extension.

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

15. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER LOWER ABSORBER

(a) Remove the front bumper lower absorber.

16. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER CROSSMEMBER

(a) Remove the 3 clips.

(b) Remove the 4 bolts and front suspension lower crossmember.

17. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

(a) Remove the 2 clips and radiator support opening cover.

18. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the front bumper side retainer.

19. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

20. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws and front bumper bar reinforcement.

21. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT RH
