Removal





POWER STEERING: POWER STEERING ECU: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

2. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire) Removal

3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal

4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
* After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:





* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER

(a) Remove the 4 clips and side cover.

6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 5 clips and inlet cover.

7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY RH Removal

8. REMOVE NO. 1 INVERTER RESERVOIR BRACKET





(a) Remove the 2 nuts, and slide the inverter reservoir towards the engine.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and bracket.





9. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU





(a) Release the locks of ECU connectors A and B and disconnect the connectors.

(b) Disconnect the connector C from the ECU.

(c) Remove the 4 bolts and detach the claw, and remove the ECU.
