SEAT: SEAT HEATER SWITCH (for Rear Side): INSPECTION

1. INSPECT CURTAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY





(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





(a) If the result is not as specified, replace the curtain switch assembly.

HINT
As the dial is being turned, the resistance changes gradually.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





(b) If the result is not as specified, replace the curtain switch assembly.

HINT
As the circuit has a diode, perform the measurement with the tester in diode mode.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(c) If the result is not as specified, replace the curtain switch assembly.

HINT
As the dial is being turned, the resistance changes gradually.

(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





(d) If the result is not as specified, replace the curtain switch assembly.

HINT
As the circuit has a diode, perform the measurement with the tester in diode mode.

(e) Check that the seat heater switch illuminates.

OK:





(e) If the result is not as specified, replace the curtain switch assembly.
