INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

Lower Instrument Panel

2. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY

Removal

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

5. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 screws [E].

(b) Disengage the clip.

(c) Disengage the clamp.

(d) Disconnect each connector and remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

7. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL Removal

9. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE UPPER NO. 2 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH

(a) Disengage the 5 claws, clip and 2 guides, and remove the upper No. 2 console panel garnish.

11. REMOVE UPPER NO. 1 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH

(a) Disengage the 4 claws, clip and 3 guides, and remove the upper No. 1 console panel garnish.

12. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Open the console compartment door.

(b) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 12 claws.

(c) Disengage the clamp.

(d) Disconnect each connector and remove the upper console panel sub-assembly.

13. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX POCKET Removal

14. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET Removal

15. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Removal

16. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Turn the shift lever knob counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

17. REMOVE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 6 claws and 2 guides.

(b) Disengage the clamp.

(c) Disconnect each connector and remove the integration control and panel assembly.

18. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET Removal

19. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX INSERT

(a) Disengage the 2 clips and 2 claws, and remove the console box insert.

20. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX LH

(a) Remove the bolt A>.

(b) Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

(c) Using a clip remover, disengage the 3 clips.

(d) Disengage the 2 claws and guide, and remove the console box LH.

21. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

(a) Disengage the 5 claws and remove the front No. 2 console box insert.

22. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX RH

(a) Remove the bolt [A].

(b) Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

(c) Using a clip remover, disengage the 3 clips.

(d) Disengage the 2 claws and guide, and remove the console box RH.

23. REMOVE TRANSMISSION INSTRUMENT PANEL SHIFT ASSEMBLY Removal

24. REMOVE NO. 3 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET

(a) Disengage the clamp.

(b) Remove the 4 bolts [A].

(c) Disengage the 3 guides and remove the No. 3 console box mounting bracket.

25. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET

(a) Disengage each clamp.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts [A].

(c) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the No. 1 console box mounting bracket.

26. REMOVE BACK-UP BATTERY WITH BRACKET (w/ Safety Connect System) Removal

27. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System)

(a) Remove the 2 bolts [A].

(b) Disengage the 2 clips as shown in the illustration.

(c) Disengage the clamp.

(d) Disconnect each connector and remove the center instrument cluster finish panel assembly.

28. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the claw and 2 guides, and disconnect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

29. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Navigation System)

(a) Disengage each clamp.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the DLC3 connector.

(d) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the lower instrument panel sub-assembly.

30. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System)

(a) Disengage each clamp.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the DLC3 connector.
