MIRROR (EXT): OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Memory)

(a) Inspect outer mirror motor operation.





(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table and illustration.

Standard:

If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror actuator assembly.

(b) Inspect outer mirror heater operation.

(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table below.

Standard:





If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

(c) Inspect electrochromic outer mirror operation.





(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table and illustration.

If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

2. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Memory)

(a) Inspect outer mirror motor operation.





(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table and illustration.

Standard:









If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror actuator assembly LH.

(b) Inspect outer mirror heater operation.

(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table below.

Standard:





If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

(c) Inspect electrochromic outer mirror operation.





(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table and illustration.

3. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Memory)

(a) Inspect outer mirror motor operation.





(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table and illustration.

Standard:

If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror actuator assembly RH.

(b) Inspect outer mirror heater operation.

(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table below.

Standard:





If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

4. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Memory)

(a) Inspect outer mirror motor operation.





(1) Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

(2) Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table and illustration.

Standard:









If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror actuator assembly RH.

(b) Inspect outer mirror heater operation.

(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table below.

Standard:





If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.
