DESCRIPTION
The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the center console spot light.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
(e) Check that the center console spot lights come on.
Main Body
OK:
Center console spot lights come on.
NG -- INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Interior Lighting System
2. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the map light assembly Removal.
(b) Connect a positive (+) lead from the auxiliary battery to terminal 21 (+B1) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 5 (ILLB).
(c) Check that the center console spot light (red) comes on.
(d) Connect a positive (+) lead from the auxiliary battery to terminal 21 (+B1) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 6 (ILLB).
(e) Check that the center console spot light (blue) comes on.
OK:
Each center console spot light comes on.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU AND AUXILIARY BATTERY)
(a) Disconnect the T6 map light assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the H18 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Removal
