Removal

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: SEAT POSITION SENSOR: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

for Manual Seat: Removal

for Power Seat: Removal

2. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH (for Manual Seat) Disassembly

3. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (for Manual Seat) Disassembly

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Manual Seat) Disassembly

5. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Manual Seat)

(a) Separate the wire harness from the 2 hooks.





(b) Disconnect the connector.





(c) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" screw and seat position airbag sensor with the seat slide position sensor protector.

(d) Remove the seat position airbag sensor from the seat slide position sensor protector as shown in the illustration.





6. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Power Seat)

(a) Separate the wire harness from the 2 hooks.





(b) Disconnect the connector.

(c) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" screw, nut and seat position airbag sensor with the seat slide position sensor protector.





(d) Remove the seat position airbag sensor from the seat slide position sensor protector as shown in the illustration.
