DESCRIPTION
The display and navigation module display receives a reverse signal from the park/neutral position switch assembly and information about the navigation antenna, and then adjusts the vehicle position on the navigation display.

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REVERSE SIGNAL)
(a) Disconnect the E62 display and navigation module display connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Problem Symptoms Table
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
(a) Disconnect the E62 display and navigation module display connector.
(b) Disconnect the B36 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
(a) Disconnect the B36 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
