DESCRIPTION
Receiving a signal from the tire pressure warning reset switch, the tire pressure warning ECU indicates the initialization of the tire pressure warning system.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
* When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU, read the transmitter IDs stored in the old ECU using Techstream and write them down before removal.
* It is necessary to perform the initialization Initialization after the registration Registration of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU after the ECU has been replaced.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH FUNCTION
(a) Perform the tire pressure warning reset switch test in TEST MODE PROCEDURE Test Mode Procedure.
OK:
Reset switch ON
Tire pressure warning light comes on.
Reset switch OFF
Tire pressure warning light blinks.
NG -- INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
2. INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH
(a) Remove the tire pressure warning reset switch Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RESET SWITCH - ECU, BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the tire pressure warning reset switch E82 connector and tire pressure warning ECU E81 connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU Removal
