1. NOTICE FOR INITIALIZATION

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following system(s) after the cable is reconnected.

2. PRECAUTIONS FOR TROUBLESHOOTING

(a) If the problem is due to poor terminal connection or incorrect installation of parts, reconnecting the connector(s) or removing and reinstalling the parts may correct the problem completely or correct the problem temporarily.

(b) To determine the malfunctioning area, confirm and record output DTCs and the operating conditions at the time of the malfunction before disconnecting connectors or removing/installing parts.

(c) As it is possible the active stabilizer control system is being affected by another system's malfunction, confirm DTCs in other systems.

3. SERVICE PRECAUTIONS

(a) For all active stabilizer related parts that do not have specific inspection methods stating otherwise, perform all removal and installations with the engine switch off.

(b) When replacing the active stabilizer battery, do not incorrectly connect the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals. If the terminals are connected incorrectly (positive and negative terminal connected to opposite terminals), replace the DC/DC converter and DC/DC fuse.

(c) When disconnecting or replacing the active stabilizer battery, perform the following so that sparks do not occur if the positive (+) terminal contacts the body.

(1) Remove the DC/DC fuse.

(2) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal before disconnecting the positive (+) terminal.

(3) Insulate the positive (+) terminal immediately after it is disconnected.

4. ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU AND ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR REPLACEMENT PRECAUTION

As the active stabilizer control ECU and active stabilizer control actuator cannot be disassembled, replace the assembly.
