DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the state of the engine switch. The AFS ECU receives it from the engine switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT AFS ECU





(a) Measure the voltage of the connector.

Standard voltage:





NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (AFS ECU - BODY GROUND)

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (AFS ECU - BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect the A29 connector.

(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AFS ECU - BODY GROUND)
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT AFS ECU





(a) Disconnect the A29 connector.

(b) Measure the voltage of the connector.

Standard voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR(AFS ECU - BATTERY)

OK -- REPLACE AFS ECU
