DESCRIPTION

The combination switch receives the information of the light control switch, and sends it to each ECU via the multiplex communication system.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the combination switch.

NG -- INSPECT FUSE (ECU-IG RH, MPX-B, D/C CUT)

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

2. INSPECT FUSE (ECU-IG RH, MPX-B, D/C CUT)

(a) Remove the ECU-IG RH fuse from the cowl side junction block RH.

(b) Remove the MPX-B fuse from the engine room No. 1 relay block.

(c) Remove the D/C CUT fuse from the engine room No. 1 relay block.

(d) Measure the resistance of the fuses.

Standard resistance:

Below 1 Ohms

NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (BATTERY - COMBINATION SWITCH - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the K22 switch connector.





(b) Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
