B2056 - Axial Gap of Radar Sensor

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when one of the following occurs: 1) an error in communication with the millimeter wave radar sensor is detected, or 2) vehicle information sent from the radar sensor is abnormal. If output, perform initialization on the radar sensor to register the vehicle information to the radar sensor.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Initialization must be performed Pre-Collision System.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.

(b) Recheck for DTCs.

OK:

CAN communication system DTC is not output.

NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Turn the cruise control main switch on.

(b) Drive the vehicle at a speed for which cruise control operation is possible.

(c) Check DTC for dynamic radar cruise control system Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System.

OK:

Dynamic radar cruise control system DTC is not output.

NG -- GO TO DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR

(a) Adjust the millimeter wave radar sensor Adjustments.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM)

(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.

(b) Recheck for DTCs.

OK:

DTC B2056 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU

OK -- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS (SYMPTOM SIMULATION)
