B2060 - ABS Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when a malfunction in the brake system is detected. This circuit consists of the skid control ECU and seat belt control ECU. Signals are sent from the skid control ECU to the seal belt control ECU through CAN communication.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Initialization must be performed Pre-Collision System.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.

(b) Recheck for DTCs.

OK:

CAN communication system DTC is not output.

NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)

(a) Check the DTC for the electronically controlled brake system Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

Electronically controlled brake system DTC is not output.

NG -- GO TO ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM)

(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.

(b) Drive the vehicle.

(c) Recheck for DTCs.

OK:

DTC B2060 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU

OK -- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS (SYMPTOM SIMULATION)
